Model and rating verification: The 2022 service report identifies a Paromat-Triplex KN122 at 1,400 kW. The 2023 and 2024 chimney inspection records use KN152, an output range of 1,300–1,750 kW and a nominal entry of 1,300 kW. These differences require confirmation against the equipment nameplate; the published 1,400 kW rating is the documented basis for enquiry.
Historical pressure and temperature data
The original record distinguishes boiler design limits from installed control settings. These values do not establish the current permissible operating conditions after relocation.
| Maximum permissible boiler pressure | 6 bar, according to the original installation record |
|---|---|
| Maximum permissible flow temperature | 120°C, according to the original installation record |
| Temperature control setting | 100°C in the original installation record |
| Safety temperature limiter setting | 100°C in the original installation record |
| Maximum pressure limiter setting | 3.0 bar in the original installation record |
| Safety valve setting | 3.5 bar in the original installation record |
| Recorded static pressure | 0.5 bar at the heat generator in the original installation record |
| Recorded safeguards | Temperature control, safety temperature limiter, safety valve, maximum pressure limiter and low-water protection are listed in the original documentation. Present configuration and serviceability require inspection. |
Connections and installation planning
The OEM manual gives the following data for its 1,220–1,400 kW size column. Connections must be checked against the actual unit before final piping or foundation design.
| Boiler flow / return connections | PN16 DN150 |
|---|---|
| Safety flow / return connections | PN16 DN65 |
| Drain connection | R 1¼ |
| Flue connection, internal diameter | 400 mm |
| Gas-side resistance | 430 Pa / 4.3 mbar |
| Front service clearance | 1,880 mm, for removal of the internal tubes, according to the OEM installation table |
| Recommended side clearance | 500 mm |
| Required rear clearance | 400 mm |
The clearances above are access distances around the boiler. They are not the overall machine dimensions. Gas-train layout, burner projection, access for lifting and receiving-site arrangements require separate confirmation.
Service and inspection records
| Record | Documented information | Review point |
|---|---|---|
| Original installation documentation | Boiler data, historical pressure/temperature limits and installed safety/control settings. | Confirm the current nameplate, modifications and supplied components. |
| Burner service · 22 February 2022 | Burner maintenance, gas-train checks and combustion readings. The report records completion of work and operational handover at that date. | The service report also identifies safety-function components that had exceeded the manufacturer’s design-related minimum service life. Their subsequent replacement status requires review. |
| Burner service · 2023 | A further service sheet with boiler/burner identification and recorded gas combustion settings/readings. | Review maintenance work and component changes together with the latest service history. |
| Chimney inspection · 25 October 2023 | No defects recorded within the inspection scope; the completed emissions measurement is marked as meeting the applicable requirement at that date. | The report contains model/rating entries that differ from the original and 2022 records. |
| Chimney inspection · 18 November 2024 | No defects recorded within the inspection scope. Oxygen and carbon-monoxide readings appear in the inspection section. | The separate emissions measurement table is blank. This record does not establish a complete current emissions or pressure certification. |
Historical service and chimney records support the technical review. Current condition, safety-component status, applicable approvals and recommissioning requirements must be assessed for the intended installation.
Selected recorded combustion readings
These are historical measurements, not guaranteed present performance. The two 2022 operating stages are reproduced as recorded; the report does not establish current fuel consumption or a guaranteed boiler efficiency.
| Measurement | 2022 · Stage 1 | 2022 · Stage 2 |
|---|---|---|
| Oxygen in dry flue gas | 4.6 vol.% | 4.1 vol.% |
| Carbon monoxide | 2 ppm | 4 ppm |
| Nitrogen oxides | 53 ppm | 52 ppm |
| Nitrogen oxides at the stated 3% O₂ reference | 120 mg/Nm³ | 114 mg/Nm³ |
| Flue-gas temperature | 118°C | 128°C |
| Recorded flue-gas loss | 5.1% | 5.2% |
| Gas pressure before regulator | 65 mbar | 62 mbar |
| Gas pressure after regulator | 25.7 mbar | 24.8 mbar |
| Recorded outlet medium temperature | 50°C | 55°C |
The 25 October 2023 record lists 73°C heat-carrier temperature, 133.1°C flue-gas temperature, 4.5% O₂, 0 ppm undiluted CO and 5% flue-gas loss. The 18 November 2024 inspection section lists 5.1% O₂ and 0 ppm undiluted CO.

Questions about this hot-water boiler
Does 1.4 MW refer to steam production or electrical power?
It is the documented thermal rating of the hot-water heating boiler. Steam production and electrical generation are not specified for this unit.
Can this installed package run on both gas and oil?
The supplied unit-specific records document natural-gas operation. The manufacturer’s manual covers an oil/gas boiler family, but installed oil-burning equipment or dual-fuel capability is not established. Any conversion requires an equipment-specific engineering assessment.
Why does the rating require nameplate verification?
The original installation sheet and 2022 burner service report support a 1,400 kW unit. Later chimney records use a different model and rating. The equipment nameplate and current configuration are therefore checked before a final technical offer is issued.
Are 6 bar and 120°C the current operating settings?
They are historical permissible boiler limits from the original installation record. The same record lists lower installed control settings. Current operating limits and the requirements for the proposed installation must be confirmed during technical review.
What is included in the quotation?
The quotation defines the boiler, burner and agreed auxiliaries, together with any requested inspection, dismantling, packing, export, transport or integration services. Dimensions, transport weight, current condition and availability are confirmed for that scope.
